Chi Omega is FUN! Every year, over 5,000 young women across America join the largest women’s fraternity in the world for sisterhood and lifelong friendships.

The length of the Omicron tenure at the University of Illinois has enabled our chapter to reach an extraordinary caliber of achievement. The continual success of actives in choosing new members who view Chi Omega's past ideals as markers for their own accomplishment, has been vital to continuing the traditions of the Omicron chapter. While today's Chi Omega actives are quite different from the house's original members, we clearly share with the founders a desire to use our energy, talents and gifts to benefit society.  Formal recruitment at Illinois for the year 2013 begins on September 9 and concludes with Sisterhood Day/Bid Distribution on September 19.  The deadline for women to register as potential recruits through the Panhellenic Council is September 8.  If you would like to provide a recommendation for a woman going through recruitment, please contact for additional information.
