Welcome to the Chi Omega Fraternity's Tau Alpha Chapter at Ohio University!

Consistent with the 6 purposes of Chi Omega, the Tau Alpha Chapter has been dedicated to giving back to our local Athens community through various service events.  In addition to community service, the chapter encourages strong academic ethic, and Tau Alpha has succeeded in becoming 1st in grades for the 2010 Winter Quarter among the sororities at Ohio University.  The Tau Alpha Chapter was founded in 1895 and is the largest Greek organization on Ohio University's campus.

Established in 1804, Ohio University is the oldest public institution of higher learning in the state of Ohio and the first in the Northwest Territory.  The University has been cited for academic quality and value by such publications as America's 100 Best College Buys, Princeton Review's Best Colleges, and Peterson's Guide to Competitive Colleges.  In 2000-2001, U.S. News and World Report ranked the university 44th in the nation for academic quality.  The John Templeton Foundation has also recognized Ohio University as one of the top character-building institutions in the country.
