Make-A-Wish Foundation
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Philanthropy. Since the start of our alliance, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children's lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has honored Chi Omega for the incredible volunteer efforts of our members.

Mission: The Make-A-Wish foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with  hope, strength and joy.

Vision: The Make-A-Wish foundation's vision is that people everywhere will share the power of a wish.

Where it all began: It all started on April 29th, 1980, when a 7-year-old-boy named Chris Greicius realized his lifelong wish to become a police officer. Many of those responsible for fulfilling Chris' wish wanted to do the same for other children with life-threatening medical conditions. This led to the formation of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Chi Omega's Involvement: Continuing its longstanding commitment to philanthropy, Chi Omega chapters, collegians and alumnae support the mission of the Make-A-Wish through volunteering, fund-raising, and special events across the country. Since the program's inception in 2002, Chi Omega chapters have volunteered over 380,000 hours. To date, Chi Omega has raised more than $5.6 million for the Make-A-Wish Foundation recognizes Chi Omega as one of their Cause Champion sponsors.

At Marietta: Every year we do an event called Pie-A-Chi. This event helps us raise money for Make-A-Wish, but at the same time, it allows us to bond each other as well as our community!
