Community Service means that we want to make a difference on our campuses and in our communities.  We know that giving back to others unselfishly makes the world a better place and makes us better people.   Serving and giving helps to connect us.

Our 2013 signature project is participating in the Ronald McDonald House Dinner Program. We have volunteered for our local "Festival in the Park" Organization which provides scholarships to local high school students, helped children create pumpkin crafts and collected canned foods at a local fall festival, and volunteered at EventZone's Party in the Park. In addition, we support our national philanthropy, the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  One can find Southwestern Virginia Chi Omega alumnae volunteering individually in many other organizations in our valley  such as the Junior League, being part of pet therapy teams,  literacy groups, the arts, conservation efforts, and helping with children's camps.
