Sisters Flourish


Roanoke County Superintendent,  Dr. Lorraine Lange (Pi Epsilon, Roanoke College), was  honored with the Art Venture award at The Ninth Annual Women's Luncheon hosted by the Taubman Museum of Art.. A sold out crowd of close to 800 people at the Hotel Roanoke were present when Dr. Lange was honored. Guest speaker was former First Lady Laura Bush who spoke about literacy, education, and her time in the White House.

Lee Hardin Woody (Pi Epsilon, Roanoke College) has recently completed a term as President General of the National Society of the Washington Family Descendants.  She is currently serving as Deputy General of the Virginia Mayflower Society. In addition, she chairs the Virginia Mayflower Society's  $1620 Mildred Ramos Scholarship Fund which is awarded to a deserving high school senior, college, or graduate student.

Jill Sluss (Pi Epsilon, Roanoke College) has been named as the Publications Editor, Communications Department at American National University/National College/The University of Fairfax.
