CONGRATULATIONS on being a

Five Star chapter again this year.

Now tied as the BIGGEST Greek Organization on campus!

To the wise owls of Chi Omega; great job for reaching a combined Grade Point Average above the All Campus Female Average!
Chi Omega recently received Excellence Awards
in program areas of Membership Development, Scholarship, Chapter Management, Outreach, and CHAPTER OF EXCELLENCE!

Also, another exponential success was our most recent Red & Yellow Parents Auction. It was held to raise money for our Panhellenic philanthropy, with the goal of all Panhellenic sororities being $2,000. However, the ladies of Phi Epsilon went above and beyond this year, surpassing the goal singlehandedly raising $2,000 ourselves!

Make-A-Wish Foundation
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Philanthropy. Since the start of our alliance, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children's lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has honored Chi Omega for the incredible volunteer efforts of our members.

Yippie Chi-O Fall 2013
On September 21st, 2013, the ladies of Chi Omega Phi Epsilon held their philanthropy on University Green field. This year, we had over 100% growth with over 40+ teams registering to participate! Our Wish Kid is an 3 and a half year old named Cameron, who was diagnosed with severe asthma. When Wish-Granting Volunteers visited Cameron to find out his wish, he knew exactly what she wanted: to get to go to Disney World . With the help of our chapter, everyone at Make-A-Wish, and our unbelievable Philanthropy Chair, Morgan Anderson, we made his dream come true!

Yippie Chi-O Fall 2011
On September 18, 2011 we held our annual philanthropy right behind Ball Memorial Hospital.  We had such a great turn out with 20+ teams participating.  This year our Wish Kid is Whitney a three year old with mitochondrial disease. Mitochondrial disease affects all major organs, making extreme temperatures difficult along with constant symptoms.  We were fortunate enough to get to meet Whitney, along with her sister Brooke and both their mom and dad.  Whitney's wish is to go on a Disney Cruise, and with help from different communities we reached our goal. As a second part of our philanthropy, the local Muncie Chili's was kind enough to let 10% of their earnings go towards Whitney and her wish.                                                Wish Kid.jpg

In addition to Chi Omega's national philanthropic cause, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, our local chapter also participates in raising money and awareness for the Breast Cancer foundation. This philanthropy touches a special place in all our hearts as recently a sister was diagnosed with Breast Cancer during her college career. In addition, many sisters are affected daily through strong women in their lives such as mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters and friends who are diagnosed with the disease. Together we work every year to help fight the growing epidemic of Breast Cancer to save lives.

Also, this semester we have been keeping quite busy! This past week, we had our spring philanthropy which we helped raise money for Breast Cancer awareness (Read more below in the Make-A-Wish Foundation section). We were also invited to a cookout at the Fiji house on campus where we played volleyball and corn hole with the boys. On April 29, 2009, we had a sisterhood with the baseball team where all of the girls watched them play with a cookout after! Snaps to a great semester thus far!
Our Story
It all began on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas when four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established the secrets and symbolism that today bind over 260,000 women. This small band of women founded Chi Omega after realizing a need for an organization that would foster both friendship and respect for the potential and inherent value of women. Over the years, Chi Omega has provided its members with unique opportunities in leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendship - striving to provide each Sister with a commitment to personal integrity, excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits, intergenerational participation, community service, leadership opportunities and social enrichment.

Recruitment
Chi Omega is FUN! Every year, over 5,000 young women across America join the largest women’s fraternity in the world for sisterhood and lifelong friendships.

Symphony
The Chi Omega Symphony has reflected the purposes of Chi Omega members since its composition in 1904 by Ethel Switzer Howard on the eve of her initiation into the Xi Chapter of Chi Omega at Northwestern University.

To live constantly above snobbery of word or deed; to place scholarship before social obligations and character before appearances; to be, in the best sense, democratic rather than 'exclusive', and lovable rather than 'popular'; to work earnestly, to speak kindly, to act sincerely, to choose thoughtfully that course which occasion and conscience demand; to be womanly always; to be discouraged never; in a word, to be loyal under any and all circumstances to my Fraternity and her highest teachings and to have her welfare ever at heart that she may be a symphony of high purpose and helpfulness in which there is no discordant note.
