Activities
Participation in Activities develops us into well-rounded people.  We engage with others to develop outside interests and expose us to new and differing points of view.   By contributing in the larger world, we demonstrate that Chi Omega makes a difference in the lives of women.

Chi Omegas are busy on the campus of Texas A&M University in Commerce. We participate in two annual philanthropy events to support our National Make*A*Wish Foundation philanthropy. We also participate in numerous community service projects that help support the university and our community. This year we have participated in the Relay For Life Cancer walk and Clothe A Child. Chi Omegas help support our sister fraternities and sororities by participating when possible in their fund raisers for their charity of choice.
We have had a great 2012-2013 and have excelled in awards and accomplishments. Please help celebrate with our sisters and their achievements.

Our Story
It all began on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas when four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established the secrets and symbolism that today bind over 260,000 women. This small band of women founded Chi Omega after realizing a need for an organization that would foster both friendship and respect for the potential and inherent value of women. Over the years, Chi Omega has provided its members with unique opportunities in leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendship - striving to provide each Sister with a commitment to personal integrity, excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits, intergenerational participation, community service, leadership opportunities and social enrichment.

Recruitment
Chi Omega is FUN! Every year, over 5,000 young women across America join the largest women’s fraternity in the world for sisterhood and lifelong friendships.

Welcome

WELCOME TO CHI OMEGA

Welcome to the Sigma Zeta Chapter of Chi Omega at Texas A&M University - Commerce. Our chapter was established on December 7, 1959. Since 1895, Chi Omegas continue to live through the six purposes of our founders: sisterhood, scholarship, community service, high standards of personal integrity, campus involvement, and career development.

We are students, sisters, friends, and leaders who enjoy spending time together. Lasting memories are created everyday at philanthropy events, leadership trainings, chapter meetings, formals, date parties, parent's weekends, athletic events, and sisterhoods. We are each other's foundation as we make our way through the journey of college together. Our Sisters become our best friends, our future bridesmaids, our role models, and our inspirations.

Chi Omega is more than the letters on the front of our house. It is more than four short years of fun and laughter. It is knowing that it is a lifetime of connections, sisterhood, and a bond found where ever you meet other Chi-O's. We hope you enjoy our website and see why we chose wisely! We couldn't be more proud! Welcome to Chi Omega!
