Friendship
Friendship is what binds us to each other and to our Fraternity.  The friendships we develop in Chi Omega give us a home across geography and generations and give us lasting support throughout our lives.

There's never a dull moment with Chi Omega! Each year we have three Invitationals where we rent out venues in San Francisco and dress up in costume to dance the night away! Each sister is allowed to invite a couple friends and we all take chartered buses to the city together. In addition, we have a Spring Formal in which each sister brings one date for a classy night of dancing and fun at a beautiful location. We also have Exchanges throughout the year in which we pair with a fraternity for a fun activity. Past Exchanges include a trip to an Oakland A's game, bowling, and a Mexican night!

Along with these bigger activities, you can always find a sister to spend time with whether you're in the mood for a night out or just staying in and watching a movie. Every week, you can find Chi O's crowded in the chapter room for Glee, Gossip Girl, and Project Runway, to name a few favorites.

Make-A-Wish Foundation
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Philanthropy. Since the start of our alliance, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children's lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has honored Chi Omega for the incredible volunteer efforts of our members.
Each year our chapter hosts Chi O Casino, a poker and blackjack tournament, in order to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Closing off the month of April, our chapter held our fourth annual Chi O Casino Night, inspired by Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Our home hosted nearly 100 poker players and another 150 guests throughout the evening, raising just over $4,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, twice what we have raised in the past! Thanks to the hard work put forth from the ladies of Mu chapter, as well as much-appreciated support from parents, local businesses and alumni, we were able to make this the most successful casino night yet.

Our Story
It all began on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas when four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established the secrets and symbolism that today bind over 260,000 women. This small band of women founded Chi Omega after realizing a need for an organization that would foster both friendship and respect for the potential and inherent value of women. Over the years, Chi Omega has provided its members with unique opportunities in leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendship - striving to provide each Sister with a commitment to personal integrity, excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits, intergenerational participation, community service, leadership opportunities and social enrichment.

Interested in going Greek? Welcome! My name is Nicole Evans, and I'm the Recruitment Chair for Mu Chapter of Chi Omega at UC Berkeley. Fall Recruitment is definitely a whirlwind process, but the mutual selection process allows each girl to find the perfect fit for them. For me, coming to Chi Omega felt like coming home. I found friendship, laughter, and met girls whom I now consider my closest friends! Check out http://www.calgreeks.com/ to learn more about the Greek system. Fall Recruitment 2010 begins Saturday, August 28th and we hope to see your smiling face on our doorstep!
Go Bears and Go Greek!

Scholarship
Sincere Learning and Creditable Scholarship means that we care about our intellectual development.  We embrace the spirit and excitement of learning throughout our lives and encourage others to better themselves.

In Spring 2008, Chi Omega earned the #1 overall GPA out of the entire Greek Community at UC Berkeley!
The chapter house holds many great places to study, whether in our study lounge, library, or at our weekly study tables complete with tasty study snacks. We find that our sisters are an amazing resource when it comes to academics, and you can always find help in a study buddy or through our study files. We also recognize the importance of maintaining good relationships with the faculty, and each semester women of the chapter invite Professors and Teaching Assistants to join the house for a Scholarship dinner.
