Activities
Participation in Activities develops us into well-rounded people.  We engage with others to develop outside interests and expose us to new and differing points of view.   By contributing in the larger world, we demonstrate that Chi Omega makes a difference in the lives of women.

Make-A-Wish Foundation
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Philanthropy. Since the start of our alliance, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children's lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has honored Chi Omega for the incredible volunteer efforts of our members.
Each year Chio Omega chapters across the nation donate to Make-A-Wish through various events.  Our chapter, hosts Chi-O Karaoke in the fall and Chi-O Dodgeball in the spring.  Each semester all of us in the Zeta chapter look forward to lots of fun and competition in the Greek system that our events bring.
All of our proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish foundation.  For each event, we choose a child in the Make-A-Wish foundation to help out.  This past year, we made it possible for a 17 year old boy to go on his first ski trip with his family!  Other children ask for a trip to Disney World, or a big shopping spree!  We love seeing kids in need benefit from our help!

On March 14th Chi O Dodgeball benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We had a great turn out and lots of fun! Thanks to everyone who participated! Congrats to the winners Sig Ep!
Our Story
It all began on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas when four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established the secrets and symbolism that today bind over 260,000 women. This small band of women founded Chi Omega after realizing a need for an organization that would foster both friendship and respect for the potential and inherent value of women. Over the years, Chi Omega has provided its members with unique opportunities in leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendship - striving to provide each Sister with a commitment to personal integrity, excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits, intergenerational participation, community service, leadership opportunities and social enrichment.

Recruitment
Chi Omega is FUN! Every year, over 5,000 young women across America join the largest women’s fraternity in the world for sisterhood and lifelong friendships.

Recruitment is an exciting time for Chi Omega!

At CU-Boulder, we look forward to meeting hundreds of accomplished young women during the recruitment process and to welcoming new sisters to our home on Bid Day.  Our chapter is full of members with diverse talents, backgrounds and interests.  Among our members, we have student government leaders, college athletes, dancers, straight A students, musicians, and animal shelter volunteers.  We have members from all over the country - and in some cases, from all over the world.  We have members who want to be doctors, broadcast journalists, environmental lobbyists, sports agents, and a whole bunch of us who have no idea what we want to do after college.

What binds us all together is the bond of sisterhood and the commitment to Chi Omega's core values of friendship, academic achievement, community service, involvement in campus activities, career development, and strength of character.  We support each other through the inevitable ups and downs of life and manage to have fun and laugh along the way.  We respect our members' differences, but are grateful for Chi Omega bringing us all together under one roof.   And speaking of one roof, we couldn't ask for a nicer place to live.  The Chi Omega house at CU is over 100 years old and sits ideally across from campus making those walks to class short and sweet.

Whether you're unsure if sorority life is for you or whether you've known you've wanted to join for a long time, Recruitment is a fun process and we encourage you to give it a try.  Be yourself and you'll find a house that you can call home during your collegiate years and beyond.  We hope that you feel at home at Chi Omega.  We wouldn't trade this experience for the world!

Service
Community Service means that we want to make a difference on our campuses and in our communities.  We know that giving back to others unselfishly makes the world a better place and makes us better people.   Serving and giving helps to connect us.

Chi Omega hosts on a lipsyncing competition between fraternities to raise money for Make a Wish Foundation.

Our Philanthropy...

It is the spirit of community service that has brought the sisters of Chi Omega into the Make-A-Wish family. Chi Omega chapters support the Make-A-Wish foundation, as their national philanthropy through volunteering, fund raising, and special events across the United States. Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich their lives with hope, strength and friendly smiles.

Chi-O Karaoke benefits Make-A-Wish
(article published in 2003 Summer edition of Zeta News)

On Wednesday the 4th of October our friends and fellows Greeks filled Hale 240 as Chi Omega hosted their first annual lipsync competition for their philanthropy, Make-A-Wish. The fraternity boys dressed up in crazy costumes and entertained the crowd with their crazy dance moves It was a great success, as we raised almost twice as much as last year, and were fortunate enough to be able to give the Make-A-Wish Foundation over $2,400. Thank you to everyone who participated! A special thanks goes to Katelyn Centerwall, our Philanthropy chair, who made this all possible!

This year's event was a huge success, and the girls at the Zeta Chapter can't wait to make it bigger and better in the fall! Thanks to all who made it possible for us to grant a wish.
