Make-A-Wish Foundation
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Philanthropy. Since the start of our alliance, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children's lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has honored Chi Omega for the incredible volunteer efforts of our members.
Chi-Hop is a semi-annual event for the sisters of the Sigma Mu chapter at Babson College. The first Chi-Hop was held in April 2008. This is an overnight event, in which our sisters donate their time and cooking skills to the students on campus. We cook a variety of pancakes and bacon. Our event is held from 10 pm on the first night until 2 pm the following day. Each semester, we create a budget for the Chi-Hop so that all proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Chi-Hop is still a very new and young event on campus, but is already a favorite with students! Students frequently ask our sisters when the next Chi-Hop will be. Along with this, it is a great sisterhood event for us because it really brings our chapter together. Finally, the Chi-Hop helps the Sigma Mu chapter stay humble and realize how lucky we are to be living the healthy lives we are. This will be our 4th semi-annual Chi-Hop and we are excited to continue this event.
