Activities
Participation in Activities develops us into well-rounded people.  We engage with others to develop outside interests and expose us to new and differing points of view.   By contributing in the larger world, we demonstrate that Chi Omega makes a difference in the lives of women.
At Chi Alpha, we contribute to the Make-A-Wish Foundation through many fun charity events such as our annual basketball tournament, Swishes for Wishes, and last semester, we also had local restaurant, Soundbites, support us by donating a portion of their revenue for our event, Dishes for Wishes.

Chapter Updates
Congratulations to the new executive board!
We are so excited to have our new officers and we know they will be great for the chapter!  Please see the leaders box to find the new executive board members.

Chi Alpha has had a wonderful fall semester full  of sisterhood and growth.  In October we accomplished our 2008 goal of raising enough money to grant a wish through the Boston-area Make a Wish Foundation!  We have also had successful social, sisterhood, and campus events.

Our Story
It all began on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas when four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established the secrets and symbolism that today bind over 260,000 women. This small band of women founded Chi Omega after realizing a need for an organization that would foster both friendship and respect for the potential and inherent value of women. Over the years, Chi Omega has provided its members with unique opportunities in leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendship - striving to provide each Sister with a commitment to personal integrity, excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits, intergenerational participation, community service, leadership opportunities and social enrichment.

Recruitment
Chi Omega is FUN! Every year, over 5,000 young women across America join the largest women’s fraternity in the world for sisterhood and lifelong friendships.

2009 Panhellenic Recruitment is from Sunday, January 25th to Saturday, January 31st.  If you are interested in spring recruitment, please register online at www.jumbogreeks.com. Registration is open until January 25th at 11:59 p.m. For more information, please contact our recruitment chair, Kimberly Reisman, at Kimberly.Reisman@tufts.edu. We look forward to meeting you!
