Participation in Activities develops us into well-rounded people.  We engage with others to develop outside interests and expose us to new and differing points of view.   By contributing in the larger world, we demonstrate that Chi Omega makes a difference in the lives of women.

In addition to annual events such as the Eleusinia brunch and Pittsburgh Alumnae Panhellenic Association scholarship luncheon and benefit, we host other events throughout the year to give local Sisters many chances to connect.

"Cinco de Chi-O" Events

Mark your calendars so you can join us on or around the 5th of every month for a different Cinco de Chi-O event. Locations, days and times will vary to ensure as many Sisters as possible have the opportunity to attend. Please contact us if you have any event suggestions or would like to host an event in the future.

Chi-O Book Club

Established in 2013 for those Sisters who enjoy reading, this group meets every other month to discuss a popular novel. Please join the Pittsburgh Chi Omega Book Club Facebook group for the latest selection and meeting information.

Our Story
It all began on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas when four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established the secrets and symbolism that today bind over 260,000 women. This small band of women founded Chi Omega after realizing a need for an organization that would foster both friendship and respect for the potential and inherent value of women. Over the years, Chi Omega has provided its members with unique opportunities in leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendship - striving to provide each Sister with a commitment to personal integrity, excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits, intergenerational participation, community service, leadership opportunities and social enrichment.

As Chi Omega alumnae, we demonstrate each day that our Fraternity experience and membership is truly for a lifetime. Ensuring that you have various opportunities to remain active with the Fraternity as an alumna and connected to your Sisters in the primary objective of the Pittsburgh Chi Omega Alumnae Chapter.

The Chapter has worked to improve our communications and increase our programming efforts to offer a variety of occasions in which Sisters can gather to promote the ideals of the Fraternity. We have taken these steps in hopes that we will cultivate a lively and dedicated group of Sisters in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas.

Whether you are already an active member of the Pittsburgh Chi Omega Alumnae Chapter or are looking to renew your commitment to the Fraternity, we invite you to connect. We look forward to hearing from you and/or seeing you at one of our upcoming events!
