Activities
Participation in Activities develops us into well-rounded people.  We engage with others to develop outside interests and expose us to new and differing points of view.   By contributing in the larger world, we demonstrate that Chi Omega makes a difference in the lives of women.

Make-A-Wish Foundation
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Philanthropy. Since the start of our alliance, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children's lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has honored Chi Omega for the incredible volunteer efforts of our members.

A Taste of IU
A brand new event for the same great cause! Theta Beta's raised money for the Make-A-Wish foundation yet again by hosting A Taste of IU. We invited some of Indiana University students' favorite restaurants to join us in passing out samples of their classic foods. Guests enjoyed anything from pizza to tacos from restaurants like Dunn Inn to Pizza Express. The event was such a success we even had to add some of Bonnie's classics, mac n' cheese and Chi O burgers, a Chi Omega favorite of course! At the event we entertained music and dance acts, as well as a fraternity pie-eating contest. With the help of all the women of the chapter setting up, entertaining, cooking food, and tearing down we were able to raise over $12,000. Alissa DiMarchi and Liza Giambra chaired the event with much help from senior Tiffany Jeffers. Without our guest of honor the event could not have been made possible either. Carissa, our Make-A-Wish child, was granted her wish of going to Hawaii with her family. Her and her family could not have looked happier at the event. The Chi-Os made them feel at home and welcome. At the end of the event, she even presented us with a hand painted coconut from Hawaii which is on display in the house, and will be treasured forever. We can only hope for a bigger and better event next year to make another wish, or maybe two, come true.

Our Story
It all began on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas when four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established the secrets and symbolism that today bind over 260,000 women. This small band of women founded Chi Omega after realizing a need for an organization that would foster both friendship and respect for the potential and inherent value of women. Over the years, Chi Omega has provided its members with unique opportunities in leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendship - striving to provide each Sister with a commitment to personal integrity, excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits, intergenerational participation, community service, leadership opportunities and social enrichment.
Recruitment
Chi Omega is FUN! Every year, over 5,000 young women across America join the largest women’s fraternity in the world for sisterhood and lifelong friendships.Chi_Omega1_010.JPG

2012-2014 Supreme Governing Council

Chi Omega is proud to announce its 2012-2014 Supreme Governing Council,...

Welcome

Welcome   to 1414 N. Jordan Avenue, the Theta Beta Chapter of Chi Omega at Indiana University, or, what we like to call it, the Brady Bunch House. Our girls live, work, and play together every day amounting to an unparalleled experience, that is guaranteed to be one of the best times in your life. We are a close knit house, with a lot of love.

My years in Chi Omega could not have given me more. I receive love, hope, ambition, understanding, motivation, and opportunity from my sisters every day, and that is what they have come to be, my sisters, my family, my confidants, my shoulder, my hope, and my future.

It has been said that, "Sisterhood is the essence of all the wisdom of the ages, distilled into a single word. You cannot see sisterhood, neither can you hear it nor taste it. But you can feel it a hundred times a day. It is a pat on the back, a smile of encouragement. It's someone to share with, to celebrate your achievements." That is Chi Omega.

I invite you to take a look around and learn more about the women of our chapter and the life long tradition.

Yours in Chi Omega,

Casey Sullivan
