Both the Tau and Phi Delta chapters, representing Ole Miss and Mississippi State, received the Chapter of Excellence awards. In fact, all four Mississippi chapters received the award! Go Mississippi, and go Chi O!

This past spring, our members placed second in Sigma Nu's Charity Bowl Cheerleading Competition and played their hearts out in Pike's Powderpuff Football game!

Congrats to our sister Reade Heredia for being named Ole Miss' Most Beautiful 2014 on Jan. 29! We are also so proud of Rachel Crim who placed in the top 25 and Murray Miller & Mckenzie Mitchell who placed in the top 10! These ladies are beautiful inside and out, and we are so thankful to have them in our chapter!

We are so excited to initiate 117 new members on Fri. Jan 31 and Sat. Feb. 1. Congrats to this pledge class on their 3rd place dance in the Ole Miss Theta Encore competition!

This spring, Tau chapter is looking forward to their annual Crawfish Boil befitting the Make-A-Wish foundation on the back porch of the Chi O house. There will be, as always, live music and all-you-can-eat crawfish. Chi Omegas will soon be selling tickets for $10 each.

Make-A-Wish Foundation
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Philanthropy. Since the start of our alliance, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children's lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has honored Chi Omega for the incredible volunteer efforts of our members.

In the spring of 2014, after a successful Crawfish boil fundraiser, we were able to send our fellow Ole Miss student Megan on a Disney cruise! We all dressed in our best beach attire and put on an Ariel "musical" to help our new friend celebrate her wish coming true!

In December 2013, through our philanthropy Make-a-Wish, we sent Oxford native Chance to New York City with his family. We granted the wish as a chapter, dressing & decorating NYC-style. When Chance unwrapped his giant present, a note attached to balloons floated out to tell him about his trip!

In May 2012 the Tau chapter granted a wish for a 17 year old girl to go to Disney world! You can view pictures of our wish reveals under our photo tab.

Our Story
It all began on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas when four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established the secrets and symbolism that today bind over 260,000 women. This small band of women founded Chi Omega after realizing a need for an organization that would foster both friendship and respect for the potential and inherent value of women. Over the years, Chi Omega has provided its members with unique opportunities in leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendship - striving to provide each Sister with a commitment to personal integrity, excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits, intergenerational participation, community service, leadership opportunities and social enrichment.

Welcome to the Tau Chapter of Chi Omega located at the University of Mississippi. Our chapter has 373 members from all over the country. Chi O is not just a sorority, it's a place to call home. Chi O provides a network of friendships and support that last a lifetime. We are proud to be part of such a wonderful group of women. Thanks for visiting our site!
Chi Omega is FUN! Every year, over 5,000 young women across America join the largest women’s fraternity in the world for sisterhood and lifelong friendships.

Sincere Learning and Creditable Scholarship means that we care about our intellectual development.  We embrace the spirit and excitement of learning throughout our lives and encourage others to better themselves.

Community Service means that we want to make a difference on our campuses and in our communities.  We know that giving back to others unselfishly makes the world a better place and makes us better people.   Serving and giving helps to connect us.

These sisters spent a spring Saturday giving back to the Oxford community through the Ole Miss Big Event!

The Tau Chapter of Chi Omega is very active in the community. This past holiday season, we collected pajamas for Oxford residents in need, & many pairs of big & little sisters participated in Operation Christmas Child, filling boxes with toys & necessities for kids around the world.

Annually, Tau chapter forms a team to participate in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, and in our University's Big Event day of service in our local Oxford Community. We also form small groups to serve and join in fellowship with Oxford residents at More than a Meal, and several of our education majors volunteer by tutoring and mentoring with Leap Frog.

Sisters Flourish

Congrats to McClary & Kylie on their Chi Omega Houston Scholarships! So thankful for our sisterhood's commitment to supporting students like these!

Congrats to Mary Ball & (left to right) Blair Jackson, Camden Hastings, Rachel Hammons, Jennybeth Hendrick & Caty Cambron, whooooo were named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges on Friday night!

We are so proud of several of our members (some of whom are pictured below) for being inducted into the national Greek honor society Order of Omega in Fall 2013.
